Consultation fees
Consultation fees are outlined in a schedule of fees (available on request) and are payable at the conclusion of your appointment. The payment may be in cash or by EFTPOS/credit card.
Procedure
Your sessions are by appointment and scheduled in advance at Coburg Chiropractic & Natural Therapies (view details). For your first consultation please arrive about 10 minutes earlier to fill out the new patient form. Please bring to your first appointment any relevant test results, a list of your medications and anything else you are taking for your health (or bring them with you).
Changes
If you need to reschedule your session, please give me at least 24-hour notice. Cancellations without notice may be billed at the standard fee rate, unless, of course, you had an emergency. There may be a time that I am forced to reschedule as well, but I will let you know at least a week in advance.
Extra time
You may contact me between our sessions if you need advice, have a problem (I actually prefer to call them challenges!) or can't wait to share a success with me. I enjoy providing this extra level of service. I do not bill for additional time of this type, but I do ask that you keep the extra calls to 5 or 10 minutes each, and please do not call out of clinic hours.
Problems
If I ever say or do something that disturbs you or doesn't feel right, please bring it up. I promise to do what I can to make it right for you.
About confidentiality
Whatever you tell me is strictly private and confidential. That means that what you are doing, how you are going, what you have accomplished, and any personal information is not discussed or hinted at by me to anyone else. However, the only exception to this rule is when I need to refer to other health professionals about your situation. For this reason I have specifically asked your permission on the new client intake form. My client list is confidential and will not be sold or shared for advertising. Client files are securely stored and retained for 5 years after which the contents will be destroyed.
Clinic dispensary
Your herbal tonics and vitamin and mineral supplements are available from the clinic dispensary. You can get up to 2 repeats of your prescribed remedies without a consultation. Just phone the Coburg Chiropractic & Natural Therapies (9386 6080) with your request.
Private health insurance
If your private health insurance policy allows, you may be eligible for a rebate on your consultation fee. You will be issued with a receipt that shows my practitioner numbers. To claim please present the receipt to your insurer or claim through the HICAPS facility at reception. Rebates may be available from Medibank Private, HBA, MBF, Australian Unity and Australian Health Management. A more complete list of health insurance companies allowing rebates for naturopathy is available on request.
